This fabulous land-cruise initiative by the Federation of Interamerican Business Entrepreneurs (Federación Interamericana Empresarial -“FIE”), while showcasing Ecuador and thrilling its participants from overseas, will also be benefiting the less fortunate. Some of the proceeds of this tour will be donated to one of the leading charities in the country that supports over seven thousand poor and underprivileged children, boy and girls through their teens, by providing them with a truly excellent education.
In October, 2005, FIE organized the first-of-its-kind Jazz Festival in Guayaquil, and the proceeds of this event were shared between the education of children in Ecuador and the children of New Orleans, following the devastation of Katrina. This initiative featured five of the finest jazz bands from New Orleans who played on the Guayaquil, Malecón Riverwalk to an enthusiastic crowd of some three thousand.
FUNDACIÓN ACCIÓN SOLIDARIA
The “Fundación Acción Solidaria” was born in 2000, by initiative of a group of members of the Christian Life Movement (MVC) to respond to the challenges that the actual society presents, supporting the people who need more.
The Foundation Acción Solidaria responds to the individual’s material, emotional and spiritual necessities, working in the scopes where this individual develops (its family, work and community) to reinstate it in a more fraternal society, fair and reconciled.
Our three fundamental principles that orient our projects and efforts are: The respect for the person, the promotion of the family and the development of a common society.
